Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026
MyGoodTool ("the site", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the site handles and how.
1. Information we collect
You can use the site without signing up or logging in, and we never ask for personal details such as your name or phone number. Text you enter into a tool is processed only in your browser and is never sent to our servers. However, the following information may be created or processed automatically while we provide the service:
- Access logs: IP address, browser and device information, date and time of access, and pages visited (handled by our hosting and security provider)
- Browser storage (localStorage): your theme (light or dark), each tool's recent history, the special characters tray and your recently used tools. This stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You can delete it with the "Clear history" button or by clearing your browser's site data.
- Language cookie (lang): remembers the language you picked in the language menu so the site opens in that language next time (kept for 1 year). It is not used for ads or tracking.
2. How we use information
- To operate the site and keep the service running reliably
- To keep the site secure, for example by blocking abusive traffic and attacks
- To cover running costs by showing ads
3. How long we keep it
Access logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations under the policies of the providers listed below, and are then deleted. If the law requires a longer retention period, we keep them for that period. Information in browser storage remains on your device until you delete it.
4. Service providers and international transfers
We use the following providers to run the site. Access logs may be processed outside your country as part of their services.
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting and security (attack protection) | United States and data centers worldwide |
| Google LLC | Advertising (Google AdSense), when ads are shown | United States and other countries |
5. Cookies and advertising
To cover running costs, the site may show ads through Google AdSense. When ads are shown, cookies are used as follows:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can block cookies in your browser settings. The tools will still work, but your language choice may not be remembered. Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability (for example, under the EU and UK GDPR). California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights. We don't keep information that identifies you, and you can delete what's stored in your browser yourself. For any other request, email us at the address below and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (in line with COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Contact
For questions, complaints or requests about this policy or your personal information, contact the MyGoodTool operator at contact@mygoodtool.com.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post a notice on this page at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
